Venue: The opening ceremony will take place in Auditorium A of the SwissTech Convention Center, with the reception taking place in the exhibition, catering and poster area (Garden Level).

Join us for the opening ceremony in the plenary room. The program will feature a joint plenary presentation by Philipp Engel and Emma Slack, and a visually spectacular performance by a group of local artists. Afterwards you are invited to join all delegates for a nice evening with drinks and snacks.

Tiedje Award Reception and Evening Lecture
The Thursday of the Symposium, 17:30 – 19:30
Venue: The reception will take place immediately after the Thursday poster session in the exhibition, catering and poster area of the SwissTech Convention Center. At 18.30, we will go into the plenary room in Auditorium A for the Tiedje Award Winner to begin his lecture.

Kenneth Nealson, University of Southern California, USA, is this year's recipient of the prestigious "James Tiedje Award". He will be giving a lecture of his award-winning work, after a short reception celebrating his research.
