Several fully funded PhD positions (tuition waiver and 31k USD annual stipend) are available at the University of Florida, UF/IFAS Department of Microbiology & Cell Science. Projects in Environmental Microbiology include topics in aquatic microbial ecology, agricultural and environmental microbiomes, astro(micro)biology, and extremophiles. Positions are available on UF’s main campus in Gainesville, at one of the UF/IFAS Research and Education centers in Fort Lauderdale or Lake Alfred, or at the Space Life Sciences Lab in Cape Canaveral.
