Dear ISME18 Participants,
COVID-19 is still amongst us and infections spread easily. All attending ISME 18 are obliged to follow the rules and regulations in Switzerland, and in particular in the Canton de VAUD (canton that Lausanne belongs to) – please familiarize yourself with the situation regularly HERE and HERE.
At the moment, Canton de Vaud has no measures in place, and face masks are not required anywhere.
We rely on ISME participants to protect themselves and others and recommend the following:
- Please consider wearing a face mask (FFP2 or IIR Surgical Mask) where distancing is not possible. Please bring enough face masks with you.
- Regularly disinfect your hands with the sanitizer available at the conference centre, and cough/sneeze in your elbow.
- If you have any symptoms, please immediately refrain from attending the symposium or related events and isolate yourself.
- In case of symptoms, do a self-test or make an appointment for a free test at the on the EPFL campus.
- Check your travel insurance covers for any costs relating to a COVID-19 infection.
