Post-doctoral researcher on marine microbial community dynamics

Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) is looking for a post-doc researcher with experience in microbial flowcytometry.

VLIZ has a long-term ambition of studying rapid changes in the marine microbial community through sensors such as our CytoSense flowcytometer (FCM), Fast Repetition Rate Fluorometer (FRRF), Marine Autonomous Plankton Sampler (MAPS) and autonomous measuring platforms (buoys and robotics). We are currently looking for a postdoctoral researcher who - together with our team of technicians - will develop, shape and use these in situ detection methods to study the role of microbial dynamics in ecosystem processes. We offer a challenging job in a dynamic multinational environment and - possibly - a tenure track position at a rapidly developing research institute.
